Qatar-based GWC Marine has received three key ISO certifications - ISO 9001:2015 certification for Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management System and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

A leading shipping agency, GWC Marine represents International Shipping Lines (Container), RO-RO, Tanker, Break-bulk and Bulk vessels at all seaports in Qatar.

Expressing delight at having secured the ISO 9001:2015 certification, GWC Marine said it reaffirms the company’s ability to consistently provide quality products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

ISO 14001:2015 certification is an acknowledgement of its commitment to continually evolve its environmental management system. It requires companies to actively manage their environmental responsibilities.

By identifying any opportunities and risks, companies must endeavour to improve their resource efficiency, reduce waste and closely measure and manage the overall environmental impact of company decisions.

ISO 45001:2018 is a globally recognized occupational health and safety standard to help organizations improve employee safety, reduce workplace risks and create safer working conditions.

It exemplifies GWC Marine’s commitment to its employees, community and customers, and to continually improve and evaluate its work environment.

GWC Marine has been extremely diligent in complying with policies and standards, keeping quality at the forefront of their operations resulting in increased efficiency in handling the shipping line’s requirements, the customer’s needs and the market as a whole, said a top official.

"Receiving this accreditation demonstrates our ongoing commitment to quality and continuous improvement through an effective quality management system, a journey that began with certification of our parent organization some years ago," remarked Pradeep Kumar, Senior Director – Shipping Services.

"We fully understood that technology is only as good as the quality system and team behind it," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
