Some 99 exhibitors from Qatar took part in the expo. Most of them are specialised in the field of cybersecurity and have expressed their desire to participate in the next version.

He also added that the exhibition was covered by 587 media representatives from different countries of the world and 389 official delegations including ministers, police leaders and heads of diplomatic missions attended the opening of the exhibition.

As Qatar takes advantage of this important security event in securing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Maj Gen Al Thani said security companies had been invited to showcase their products for the tournament and many of them responded and participated in this edition. The cybersecurity and securing major events have become important for many countries and Qatar is keen to keep up with the development in this aspect and is on the right track.

For his part, Francois Jullien, the Milipol Events Director, stressed the significance of this major security event in the region in gathering all competent entities in homeland security and civil defence sectors and being a platform that creates fruitful links between them.

He added that the event this year covered the entire spectrum of homeland security and civil defence. Anti-drone technology and firefighting were also strongly represented.

Conducive environment
The Director of Milipol International Events extended his appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry of Interior for organising this important event, providing all facilities and support for exhibitors, and creating a conducive atmosphere for concluding deals and agreements between exhibitors.
